The location is brilliant right in the heart of the beautiful Boscastle Harbour. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful, the pot of tea on arrival was a very nice touch. The room and breakfast were brilliant - for the price per night an absolute steal.
The location of this hotel is wonderful. The staff were very friendly and professional. The food served in the bar and at breakfast was excellent. Boscastle is a lovely place to stay and an excellent base for exploring local sites such as Tintagel and Port Isaac. We would highly recommend the Wellington Hotel and would return in an instant.
bar was good
room was dark and overlooked from road. service was not good and expensive for what it was.
Lovely spacious clean bedroom ,Delightful residents lounge. Very good service. Very nice food in the restaurant. The building has lots of character and a good bar.
The staff in the hotel were all very friendly. The bed was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed a complimentary coffee in the bar on arrival.
The water was turned off in the hotel for 30 minutes for a repair to be carried out - when it was turned back on the water was brown & gritty, even after running 4 baths full of water. I asked for extra conditioner for my hair as I wanted to wash it again the next day in clear water, but no conditioner arrived. There were sweets on the bedroom floor, left by previous occupants, so housekeeping was not 100%. The atmosphere in the breakfast room was very austere, nobody spoke in more than a whisper, and the pancakes were rather dry.
The location, very friendly and helpful staff and even the extra attention given when replacing towels.
Perhaps the restaurant menu could be changed more frequently
its location. Also the staff made it very nice and holidayish. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. We loved its proximity to the harbour and surrounding walks. The room was very nice and very well cleaned.
car parking was limited. On 2 evenings there were no parking places when I returned to the hotel in the evening.
A very comfortable hotel ,friendly staff,,a little expensive in the bar,not much to do in the evening rather to quiet
It wasnt disable friendly
Great Hotel, very welcoming. Nice food and the bar is a nice place to spend some time.
A hotel full of character and charm. Immediately felt as though I was somewhere special; not in any way an impersonal business chain. Good bar and very good restaurant. Staff very helpful and welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending this stylish hotel set in breathtaking scenery.
No lift, so although not a problem for me, older people would have to be able to manage stairs. That said the very helpful staff did immediately offer to help with my bags, so moving luggage should not be an issue for anyone.
The comfort of the bed was amazing. Great view at the front of the hotel. Very doggy friendly with a velvet squashy dog basket that the hound was very impressed with. Lovely base to explore Boscatle and surrounding areas and a great Pub in the village for night time. Great value for money would definitely return
Room was a little on small side but bed was enormous. Slight smell of damp downstairs. Rear garden overgrown.
The room was lovely, the breakfast was always delicious and the staff were fantastic.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Simple and perhaps a bit on the plain side, but it just adds to the atmosphere.
Excellent location in village for exploring the fantastic coastline, and easy access to other villages and towns.Food in both the award winning restaurant and the bar were excellent.Breakfasts good selection and all freshly cooked to order.Enjoyed our stay and would return again.
Great food, hotel full of character, amazing location
We had our little boy with us (2), and although we did not require extra bed for him, they still brough it, cramping the room. We had to ask to take the bed away, as it is no use for such a small child. The hotel still charged us £15 each night "for an extra person". Our invoice also included child's breakfast £5 - one day only. Very inconsistent and unclear charges when children involved.
